Purpose

The purpose of this article is to detail how to enable Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.0 to use the Cloudhouse Auto Packager on Windows XP and Server 2003 computers.

Introduction

To install the Cloudhouse Auto Packager on Windows XP and Server 2003, you need to enable TLS 1.0 and install the hotfix detailed in Requirements for Packaging Containers.

This is because the standard crypt32.dll on these operating systems does not support the Security Hash Algorithm (SHA-2) used for Cloudhouse certificates.

Step-by-step process

To enable TLS 1.0 to use the Cloudhouse Auto Packager on Windows XP and Server 2003:

  1. Load Internet Explorer.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Security section and check the Use TLS 1.0 checkbox then click OK.

  1. Close Internet Explorer.

This completes how to enable TLS 1.0 to use the Cloudhouse Auto Packager on Windows XP and Server 2003.
