How to configure a Container to depend on another Container
03/11/2017 Stuart Moore
Containers can depend on other Containers, specifically they can use redirections specified another Container's clc file. In the following example the Parent Container is able to apply an exact match redirection for the file c:\A.txt to c:\B.txt provided by the Child Container.
<AAV> <Includes> <Include>Child\\DependsOn.clc</Include> </Includes> </AAV>
The Child Container has a configuration file DependsOn.clc that provides the redirections used in the Parent Container.
<AAV> <FileSystem> <ExactMatch> <From>C:\\A.txt</From> <To>C:\\B.txt</To> </ExactMatch> </FileSystem> </AAV>
Containers cannot depend upon the following configuration specified in the Child Container
- Environment variables
- File Type Associations
- Short cuts
