Cloudhouse Compatibility Packages allow 32-bit and 64-bit applications written for previous versions of Microsoft Windows to run on later versions of the Windows operating system.

The process of creating a Compatibility Package is known as Packaging and is performed using the Cloudhouse Auto Packager. The computer on which the Compatibility Package is created is known as the Packaging Computer.

Once a Compatibility Package has been created, it can be deployed and run on the computer running the newer version of Windows, also referred to as the target operating system.

Note

See Supported operating systems for creating Compatibility Packages for details of which Windows operating system versions our Compatibility Packages can be created on.

Also, see Supported operating systems for deploying and running Compatibility Packages for details of which Windows operating system versions our Compatibility Packages can be deployed and run on.

The Package Editor is used for editing/updating a Compatibility Package.
